Royal BVI Yacht Club’s 2008 Easter Sailing and Race Camp
Dates: March 25th-27th
Times: 9:30am- 3:30pm
Cost: $120
Beginner/Novice: This course is designed for sailors with little or no previous sailing experience. Participants in this course will learn basic boat skills. Sailors use Optimist prams as well as Picos with one to two participants per boat. Ages 6-11 years old. 8 spaces available.
Intermediate: This course is designed for sailors who have completed the beginner sailing level. This course builds on the techniques learned in the beginner and Novice class, with a focus on solidifying a strong skill base on the basic boat handling, as well as sailing theory. Sailors will primarily sail Optimist prams, however sailing in Picos and Lasers will be used with one to three participants per boat. Ages 8-16. 8 spaces available.
Race Team: This course is designed for sailors who have extensive racing backround. Participants will be members of the BVI youth sailing team, as well as selected by the BVI youth sailing team coach to participate. This camp is mandatory for all BVI youth world team members, as well as BVI’s optimist North American team.

Lunches: There will be a special kids menu available in the clubhouse over the camp weekend. Kids menu items include, burgers, chicken nuggets, PB and Jam sandwiches, hotdogs, all served with a kids size portion of fries. Cost: $5.00
